The EU-funded Horizon Europe project DATAWiSE officially began with its kick-off meeting held in Thessaloniki (Greece). The meeting was hosted by the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) and gathered representatives from all partner institutions involved in the project.
This meeting opened with welcoming remarks and an introduction to the project’s vision, goals and expected impact. Athina Tsanousa and Petros Printezis from CERTH presented the overall concept of DATAWiSE and outlined how the project aims to support smarter building management through advanced data-driven approaches.
Over the course of the two-day meeting, partners introduced the structure of the project and presented the Work Packages that will guide activities throughout the project’s duration. Each partner also presented their role and initial plans for contributing to the development of DATAWiSE toolkits and related research activities.
Beyond the formal presentations, the meeting created an opportunity for partners to connect, exchange ideas and align expectations for the first phase of the project. These discussions helped establish a shared understanding of priorities and next steps as the consortium begins its collaborative work.
The kick-off meeting marked an important starting point for DATAWiSE and set the foundation for the activities that will follow in the coming months.
